SEB Update

I thought there were no Seb Neo available until next year.. I've been waiting since march and last update I got were that they would go into production again in feb-march...

btw. is the Seb BR Neo the same as Seb Neo ?

Same rest with a few changes made by Mike Ratigans recommendations. BR model uses a counterweight instead of lift springs and one piece bag.

so I should change my order to Seb BR Neo ?

I intend to use it for 100-300m Benchrest HV class and 600-1000m F-Class.
Kelbly klub, McMillan Edge and Shehane ST1000 stocks, panda, Bat and Stiller actions.

You don't have to, Dansig.
The regular NEO Gen-2 will do the job flawlessly, either for the point blank or the F-Class.
However, if you want, you can remove the internal springs and use a counterweight.
Hope this help,
seb.

PS: For USA customers, you can only order Mike Ratigan's version (some folks call it "NEO BR") from Mike. It's his right. --- Vice versa, you can only order the regular NEO Gen-2 rest from Ernie Bishop.

All this sounds FANTASTIC.............................

Now back to work,so i can get mine, and find out for myself how nice these rests are... ;D ;D ;D

I received my SEB BR NEO from Mike Ratigan last week. Mike is great to deal with. The rest is the smoothest rest I ever have used. The quaility of the rest unbelievable. Thanks to seb and Mike.

Glad to know that you like your new rest DRS. I'm happy for you.....seb.

Patience usually give you good thing Dan. And I will make sure that you will like your rest....seb.

Hi Eric,
We still don't know when.
The joystick concept on the bipod must/will be first tested by independent & knowledgeable F-TR shooters. And It will take a few months. I will soon make some more prototypes for testing & evaluation.

Briefly, we are playing catch up with the MAX rests (75 units) at this moment. We do hope that we can finish them all before the end of Jan 2013. --- After that, we will make two more batches of NEO rests (2 x 100), which hopefully all can be finished on June 2013.
There is no way we can produce the bipod before June 2013 as we have a long, long waiting list for the MAX & NEO rests. Also, there is no way we can/will produce the bipod before the prototypes work generally better than 'conventional type' bipods.
In case (fingers crossed), the bipod proven to work flawlessly as expected, then we will soon produce the "JOY" bipods after mid 2013.

Hope this explains the situation.

just got my NEO and I have to say it's a piece of art... so smooth and pretty :)

thanks Seb

It's almost to the day one year ago.
Guess production is up and running so the waiting list will get shorter..

I ordered mine directly from Seb

Best conclusion to draw...
dansig lives where there is no dealer for that country.

Where are the MAX & NEO Rests?
No Max's have arrived yet, but I am expected them soon (In less than 2 weeks).
I will get 10 per shipment, per week or maybe a shipment every 10 days. I will get 40 in all from this run with the last 10 being the Special Edition.
After Sebastian finishes his run of MAX's, he will begin making NEO's again.
I know some of you on the NEO list (US and some guys from Canada) have been on the list for close to a year now.
Sebastian did the last run of the original SEB Rest in the late fall, and is now getting close to finishing up the first run of MAX's. This has taken him about two months longer than he originally thought it would.
I know it is hard to wait. We wish we could put the rest of your choice in your hands the day you order one, but that is not possible. Thank you for hanging in there and being patient.
Ernie Bishop

The MAX will be shipped in a few days.

Meanwhile, we are starting with the NEO (200 units, all spoken for) - and I'm expecting to finish them all - around May 2013. Then maybe another batch of NEO....or first run of the JOY pods (good thing is, the prototype bipod is reported to work well / as expected, even with the .308).
We will see which one more suffice at the time.

Please note that I work on first come first serve basis. And our priority is the Dealers.
Please also note that I do not ask deposit etc - payment is just when the goods are ready to ship.
When someone cancels the order, someone else in the list behind him (like Dansig in this case) will be very happy to get the rest.

Thanks you for your patience & confidence in my rests!
seb.

Seb,

I have two of your rests and am very happy with them. Dedicating the older generation one for benchrest shooting and the Neo for F Class. On the Neo rest, the side bags are ripped and the rest of the bag is not fairing well. How do I go about getting a set of replacement?

No worries Nik, just send me a photo of your bag and your address - or contact your dealer. Your bag will be replaced asap.
Thanks you for the input, and sorry for the troubles!

I am actually next to get a Neo from Ernie. I think I will also be pretty high on the list for next run of Maxes. Do you have any idea when the next run of Maxes will be?

According to the waiting list I have to make another batch of 100-150 NEO after this (Feb-May) batch... say from late May up to August 2013. Still playing catch up for the NEO. --- Then the JOY pods I think. I'm expecting to make a batch of 100-150 bipods during August to Sept/October.
So the next/2nd batch of MAX must be after October 2013, then available around Jan or Feb 2014.

We will do our bests, for sure.
