Scope Recommendation

while it aint br it is a small target that moves that in essense makes it about 1/2 known size.
so he need a quality scope that can handle visual wind adjustment.
close to his budget, so for , quality and cost is still the 4-20 in moa sightron

The Vortex Diamondback isn't really a bargain at $250. You can find similar scopes on ebay for $150 and they are made in the same place, China.

I've heard a lot of good things about Sightron, even from one of their competitors.

Cameraland has some good sales on the Sightron S-tac right now. You can get a 3-16x42 and a set of rings for $350. It's twice the scope that the diamondback tactical is on every level.

I have a chance to purchase a used Burris Fullfield E1 6.5x20 Plex reticle scope at an excellent price. Was checking to see if anyone has had experience with this scope? Have had a few Burris scopes in the past and they have worked well.

Thanks!

I have a couple and they work just fine. For what you are looking for they are a great fit. They are clear through all magnification levels and have a very forgiving eye box.

My go-to budget scopes are Redfields.

They do not offer mil-dot, but the Battlezone line has a nifty MOA reticle that works well okay ranging.

Tracks well and a side-by side comparison with a Vortex Viper's glass the Revenge was much better.

I have a 6-18x Varmint reticle on an AR-15 16" bull, and a 6-18 Battlezone MOA Tac on an AR-10 20" SASS.(for now).

I use them for shooting targets out to 1000. As for durability and hunting I can give you no hard information.

The high powered scopes can be found for 225-230. Another website had a sale on the 3-9 quick-dial for $115!

Look in the used scope section, guys like me are always upgrading and selling great scopes. I found a NF for 1/2 it's original price in great shape. You get a 800-1000$ scope for 450-500$ and you are way ahead. Right now I have a Zeis 6.5x20x50 that was 1300$ selling for 450$. There are a lot of great deals popping up.
