Greg, I think your doing the right thing for sure, the only reason I even ask is we had a situation similar to this and it was right on when looking down the bore which is odd because it should go where pointed but I guess when the barrel is banana shaped I guess they whip them out?? anyway I am glad it's on it's way.chevytruck_83 said:I didn't boresight it to check that. I did take the bolt out and look down the tube at 50 and it looked out but lets face it. That's not a great stand alone method. When all signs point to barrel or top of action being out I kinda gotta go with it. Thanks again for another good suggestion but its on its way to savage. Scope to leupold for a quick double check and the tactical milling reticle.
