I'm running optics as purpose built.
For my rim x which is setup more as a target rifle I have it topped with a 5-25 pst2. Since it's a little on the heavy side to begin with.

My 457 is setup more as field, walking rifle, much lighter and quicker on the draw. So I went with a lighter p-Tac 3-9x I had on hand. With it's mrad reticle and target turrets it does well for hunting and occasional target, and am still able to see hits on steel out to 300 with 9x. Lately I find myself grabbing the 457 out more often the the rim x
