All 457 actions are the same, yes. Get their bore guide too.So will a Bore Tech .22 Caliber Rimfire rod work in the CZ457 MTR?

My question is not about the action. It is about the rod diameter vs the bore diameter. All 457 actions are the same, yes. Get their bore guide too.
I use 2 boretech orange handle rimfire rods and their bore guide. Works like a champ in my cz 457. Some times the patches try to hang up on the ejector when going by it.So will a Bore Tech .22 Caliber Rimfire rod work in the CZ457 MTR? I don't want to have to use adapters on a .20 caliber rod to get to 8-32 threads.
Are your 2 Boretech rods different??I use 2 boretech orange handle rimfire rods and their bore guide. Works like a champ in my cz 457. Some times the patches try to hang up on the ejector when going by it.
No they are the orange handle rimfire. I use 2 rods so i dont have to spin on and off the jag and brush. I store them in a mtm cleaning rod case. Take it to the range every time. I ground a notch in the bore guide so the bolt release locks it in. So when i rigorously scrub the chamber area bore guide stays inAre your 2 Boretech rods different??
They are of good use and I don't worry too much about what I see, until I see how the gun shoots. Really good for keeping the carbon ring in check. There are people who think a bore scope creates problems that don’t exist. I’m not one of them, but I don’t know what to tell you about what you see
Is this the same rifle you sent to cz because it would not shoot? How does it shoot now if so?They are of good use and I don't worry too much about what I see, until I see how the gun shoots. Really good for keeping the carbon ring in check.
I also slugged this one and there's a loose spot about an inch back from the muzzle.
Before I order another barrel, I am contemplating cutting this one off right before the loose spot and see how it does.
I even contemplated ordering another rifle, but I just don't know.

Yeah thats a bummer. Weird how you have some shots grouped up nice then it throws them all over for the next group. I would think a bad barrel would not group any. I would cut it back and recrown or just chop it off where you think its tite and go shoot it not even waste time doing a target crown or recessed crown see if it shoots any better. Or buy new barrel but if your shooting ARA cant shoot factory class at that point. Might be cheaper to buy another rifle ! I have literally only tried 1 torque setting on my rifle 30 inch pounds and the trigger is set at a hair over 2 pounds. I probably got a lucky barrel/rifle. My test target is horrible compared to how rifle shoots. Good luck with what ever way you decide to go on your rifle.* CZ barrels , at least the 457, are hammer forged and hydraulic machine lapped- per CZ
yes, it shoots the same. Inconsistent.
CZ did perform a shot test and it met their 1 MOA guarantee.
Ammo does not matter, I've tried it all and it shoots the same no matter what I run through it. I did adjust the scope on the shots at top. It was dropping shots low right.
I even sent in my scope to have it looked into - Sightron. I tried a different scope, played with different torque on the action screws, etc.
