Still waiting on that Jewel benchrest trigger for a Savage. Not to mention the stock selection. Remington 700 footprint is by far the best build platform not a custom.

I just swapped out an RR bolt for a 00’s Sendero bolt, extraction and feeding are perfect.
I’m gonna have to buy 2 more bolts from PTG. Cause I just bought 2 more Sendero’s as donors.
The thing I hate most, is the fact that a $2825AUD gun has a PRESSED METAL FOLLOWER!
WTF REMINGTON?!
If your gonna save money, do it elsewhere FFS!
None of these rifles ‘pop’ a cartridge up onto the follower, they are only pushed by the bolt...not happy about that at all!

And custom actions are finishing second, third, etc... to a Stevens 200 action in my local matches.

Probably more about the shooter than the action. Which is something that seems to be ignored in every gear discussion... reading the wind is much harder than buying rifles.

How many suffix letters does Remington use in the serial number? I have 3 left hand long action RR series and 2 end with K and one with L. The difference between the high and low SNs is 1966.

If my BFF Dan welded the bolt handle on in the right position then cock on close should not be a problem. if the handle is in the right place (it is on PTG 1 piece bolts) then when you modify the cocking piece to get rid of cock on close you'll have .240 to .250 of pinfall and excellent ignition. All my rifles have just a few .001's of cock on close to make sure the sear is picked up when cycling the bolt without opening it.
