School me on BAT actions

I'm looking on Bruno's website at their BAT actions. Admittedly I know hardly anything about the BAT actions except they are damn good.
I like the M1108 for $1400 from what I can tell. Right bolt, left port, and 20 MOA Picatinny rail.
This would be for a 6XC build.
Tenon size?
Trigger availability?
Stock options?

Check out the Bat website, they have more info on dimensions of their actions. I'd look at using either a Bat B or MB fir your build. Being an XC, an MB might be better suited. I really like my B for my Dasher.

Bill, if thats a M model your looking at the tenon is 1.125x16.... and it's a pretty hefty action for a 6XC....
All my .284's are built on them.....
Triggers are not a problem, I use Jewells, and Kelbys on mine...
They come with a trigger hanger.....

M is a long action, b is a short action, mb is a short action bolt in a long action body with the tennon threads recessed. For the 6xc I would use a b. Get one thats melonited if you can.

Thanks, Guys.

Preacher, are you able to chamber for a BAT without having the action? I understand that can be done with the Kelbly actions. Do you have a 6XC reamer?

zfast, what is the advantage with melonite?

Bruno's has a few melonited. They have 3 B models, but all PPC and none with 20 MOA rails.

How much longer is the M than the B? I guess I need to visit BAT's website. Bruno's has the M1040 which is right bolt, left port, melonited and 20 MOA rail for $1610.

My first choice for the build is 6XC and my second choice is 6SLR.

I ordered my MB for a 30BR build with the intention of switch barrel use with a 6BR barrel for prairie dogging. When I maxxed out the 6BR with a 1296 yard kill, I was glad I decided on the MB. I was able to hang a 32" straight contour .284 Shehane barrel on it with no problem so I can go out farther on the dogs. It's a killer at the varmint matches with the 30BR barrel on it, too.

Nomad if you go to BATS site there is a action spec place that tells you how long; what cartridge will fit; and weights and sizes. Matt

A "B" would work great. see http://www.batmachine.com/products/products.htm. I have a B now, I had a M, just too big for me.

What about stocks? Will stocks that fit a Remington 700 fit the BAT? Or does it depend on which BAT?

The back is square so it takes a completely different inlet. Still, there are plenty out there.
