Schaeffer honing oil

I've been using Rigid Dark with ATF mix but recently was turned onto the Schaeffer Honing oil and was curious if anyone has used it for threading or chambering. It's a high sulphur threading/ cutting oil, I would imagine like Rigid Dark.

When I got a new lathe last fall for fitting barrels, I looked at alternatives to the stinky Sulphur oils. Regular coolants tend to go rancid and probably would not have the lubricity for chambering. After talking to several companies, I tried Castrol Syntilo 9974. It is sold as a gun drilling coolant. It is a full synthetic water soluble fluid. Basically clear and odor free. I use a 10% concentration and it is working great chambering barrels with through barrel coolant, threading, and general cutting. I could not be happier. And, did I mention it is clean and doesn't stink?

Sunnen sells a honing oil MB40 that works great for chambering and threading. It has surfer, animal fats, and chlorine. I don't have a flush system so I paint it on the part and never have any loading and chambers don't need polishing.
