I had one try to rip me off on a gps. I sent payment and no gps and no communication. It was a small amount of money but it really pissed me off. I tracked down the number for the local sheriff and left a message. Got a call from a detective. He knew the guy right away. Guy was on parole for fraud already so the detective told him to return the money or go directly back to jail. I got a money order a couple days later. The detective was glad I’d called because they were not aware that he’d switched from local thieving to internet thieving. If you never make a complaint there’s no possible way for them to get caught. Make a complaint with the local police/sheriff where the thief is.

Sold a couple things on armslist and I think it’s safe to say 80% of the responses you get on there are fraudulent.
