Saving brass

Has anyone ever tried resizing a piece of brass to a smaller neck dia. And pushed the neck into the shoulder?
So next question I'm wondering if it's possible to fire form it back out by gunpowder and plugging the neck? If ya know what I mean.
This $1 brass prices makes a guy squirm not being able to save it.

It would help (a LOT) if you told what the original case was and what neck size you tried to make.

Don't dump it. Recycle it. When my 5 gallon bucket is full I normally get 100 dollars or more from the recyclers. That money goes straight back into shooting supplies. last time it was about 1.65 a pound, the price varies.

Once the brass has caved that sharply you will likely blow the case apart at the shoulder leaving you with a lost case and brass stuffed down into the rifling. LT

Brass at $1 each, used twice, is cheaper than shooting factory ammo. Toss it! Your safety, and being confident of your next shot, is worth way more than $1
