Savage triggers?

In my opinion, putting a bunch of money in a Savage is much like doing the same with a 10/22 - when your done spending money, you still have a 10/22 or in this case a Savage. Ask me how I know .
It’s not “ a bunch of money “, but one of the best things I’ve done is transfer a .223 Savage 110 action from a hunting stock ( wasn’t getting used ) into an MDT field stock, switched out the factory barrel for a Shilen 26” select match bull barrel and added an Arken EP-5 scope for a fun, 500 yard capable range rifle.

I've tried multiple times to get him to try different powders. He tries different bullets but stays with the same powder. I have tried Superformance powder in a few of my rifles and have never found it to work for me. I know others have good luck with it but I'm not one of them. I can lead him to water but I can't make him drink. LOL
No...
But there comes a point where you can make him blow bubbles..

Instead of telling him, you might need to show him.
Ask him if you can show him.
See if he's willing to learn.
Might cost you some of your powder to develop a load.

If he's not willing, don't bother throwing the lifering out to him anymore.

I have 2-3 RB-2 and a JARD. The RB, can be a light trigger, but each gun will vary from 4 ox up to over a pound, for a bump safe trigger. The problem is, the safety will not stop the pin fall. The JARD has the safety as part of the trigger assembly, and won't fire of safe. The trigger goes down to 7 oz, measured. Take the bolt apart, hone the inside of the bolt body, adjust your firing pin protrusion to .065 and then stone the star washers that hold your pin adjustment in place so their is no drag.

I talked to him last night and he ask what I found out. I told him that most said a new firing pin and spring and trigger probably won't solve his problem. I really don't think that was what he wanted to hear. I've offered to let him shoot some of my 243 ammo even if it blew the shoulders out. (Mine isn't ackley) I have lots of 243 brass so loosing a few is no big deal. He didn't want to try my ammo. I've done about all I can do.

His mind is already made up.

His head-banging and velocity variations shall continue unabashedly.
