Savage barrel swap

I swapped a 223 barrel for a 204. All is well except the 204 refuses to feed from the 223 magazine. I have done searches at several places with no results. I have looked to see if their is a difference in the follower or magazine. All I have found say they are the same.
This is a blind box magazine.

Anyone else dealt with this?

I changed a 223 Savage Axis to a heavy 204 barrel with no issues with feeding.Then went with a single shot follower.
