savage anschultz

More info......

I'm the Mod there and considered referring the OP to it but figured it wouldn't help because they didn't know what they had in the first place

PWnolan,

The rifles that were listed in your previous post as Anschutz Savage were actually Savage Anschutz rifle.

To my limited knowledge The rifles that are Savage Anschutz were Anschutz barreled actions in Savage stocks assembled in the USA. Vice versa for the Anschutz Savage rifles which were assembled in Germany but were Savage barreled actions.. Anschutz Savage rifles not nearly as desirable.

Sorry but that's not correct. Rifles marked Savage Anschutz are pure Anschutz. The actions in those GB links are all Anschutz 64s and those stocks Anschutz too. Savage was just the importer for several years.

Likewise, there are rifles marked Anschutz Savage that Anschutz imported into Germany. As far as I know those are all Savage. I honestly haven't seen enough of them over the years because they were exported to Germany but a few have made their way back here. We primarily see Savage-Anschutz rifle here which are, again, actually Anschutz rifles

EDIT: I think I see why you were saying what you were. Yes, two of the GB listings are incorrect in that they're listing the rifles as Anschutz-Savage. They're actually Savage-Anschutz rifles and should be marked accordingly on the rifles. The sellers have listed them incorrectly for what they actually are. It's easily confused

Just because I don't about Anschultz I probably have built and shot more guns than anyone on this post
I find this statement very mystifying. because of your earlier thread asking about Anschutz vs custom, if you have experience building rifles you already should have known the answer to that question.
unless your definition of built is different than mines.
