You think the Ferrari would beet the Dodge ? Maybe but close .I think for local club matches, a re-barreled Savage will be competitive, especially for a newer shooter. At least where I shoot they are. A top tier BR rifle sure is nice, but it's like the difference between a Ferrari and a dodge. Both will get you from point A to B, but it's a lot more fun with the Ferrari. (And faster)!
I was thinking of a 64 Plymouth Valiant slant 6You think the Ferrari would beet the Dodge ? Maybe but close .
Do you need to modify the stock to fit the barrel nut in this set up?Mack Bros action $675
Revolution benchrest stock with bedding block $549
Bat trigger guard and action screw set $82
Prefit barrel $289
Nut $39
Triggertech Diamond Trigger $299
That $1933.
Assemble and shoot. I have one customer that was leading the Colorado state championships in benchrest with his 6xc with this configuration except he was using a bone stock Rem 700 action.

Looks like some tuff competitors thereI shot this with my savage 11/19/22 in a local match and come in LAST place . I was pretty happy with the target anyway . Don't think it was the gun , just me can't shoot .
Put a 30BR on the action. You'll get a little closer to that dot....There were about 14 shooters and most of them shoot all X's most of the time and I only shot 5 X's . But I'm still happy with what I shot . Try to do better next month .
