Savage 284 build chamber questions

I think saami is around .322

I have shot up to .008 neck clearance. I seen no accuracy difference between .008 vs .005. out of a Fclass rifle. For a hunting rifle I would go with the .322nk.

For a hunting chamber, .317 and up are "no turn" necks. Also for a hunting set up, a .322 would be fine and not any better or worse. Not being a match rifle, brass wear isn't an issue, allowing a bigger neck chamber. Accuracy won't change with brass expanding to .322. Neck tension can make a difference tho.

.014 neck X 2 = .028, + .284 = .312.

Normal clearance. 003 - .005.

.315 - .317, look good.

These measurements are what I have after loading some Peterson 280AI brass I bought last month and 140 grain BT.
