Safe to mix with Shooters Choice?

Alright, this might be a strange questions, but is it safe to mix Butch's Bore Shine with Shooters Choice?

I know a warning came out years ago about using Shooters Choice with Sweets (witch I don't use any-hoo), but I picked up some Butch's, and when I popped the lid, I smelled the ammonia in it, and it made me wonder...

I've used Shooters Choice for years in my rifles, but always wondered about Butch's and Montana Extreme.

Would you guys mix these chemicals in your bore?? Now, for those that might be confused, I don't mean al-together, I mean you've used one chemical at one time, and have another on the shelf.

I use a 50/50 mixture of shooters choice and kroil or butches bore shine and kroil. as long as you run a dry patch or two in between I don't think it would hurt anything

I do the same thing with Shooters Choice, only at 30%. I haven't done anything with Butch's as of yet!

Thanks for the reply! I also always run a wet patch of Kroil through when I store a rifle, then dry-patch the excess out.

For what it's worth:

I have been using the same SC MC#7 /Kroil mix for years either 50-50 or 70-30 works just as well. I never mixed it with any other solvent. I have used Butch's in the past mixed with Kroil with less impressive results. JB at the end of the day, depending upon the cartridge.

Just recently I have been converted to Blue Wonder bore gel---works faster- easier--better--it zaps the carbon ring if you are getting one without an extra step---never thought I would say that anything was better than the old tried and true but I admit the claims for BW are true as far as I can tell--using a borescope. Since it is not a conventional petroleum or ammonia solvent it does not screw up the finish of the stock if you slop some on it or pit your bore or any of the other nasty solvent behavior.

It's always good to hear of somebody's results that have a bore scope.

I think I'd be afraid to look at a bore constantly, I'm anal enough as it is! ;D
