S&B primers any good?

Found a few S&B small rifle primers and wondering if they are any good? Is it a thicker primer cup like the 450's or should I limit them to 50Kpsi.

Thanks

I have had good luck with them. I would buy more if I could find them, especially the SR.

Used thousands in 9mm etc with no problems but haven't seen any local since long before covid shortages... I read good things about their large Rifle primers... Seemed a little weak in 9mm , CCI would crono about 15fps faster but for the price I was giving ( $19.99-1000 ) who cares...

I've had good results with them in 223 loads and maybe a 204R load as well. I tried them on a good load and the S&B's improved the accuracy a bit. I got 'em at Cabela's a few years ago, but all the Cabela's have been closed in my area.

I've ran good information in Quickload and it tells me my .223 load that I shoot often and that is highly accurate is right at 55,000psi. No issues in a unbushed Savage.

I may be wrong on this but I believe cabelas was the only importer of them and they stopped importing them a couple years ago. Used to be able to get them for 1.5 cents each shipped as recently as 2017.

That's where I used to buy them at 2 cents a piece some years ago. I have been through thousands of their large rifle primers without any problem whatsoever. Wish I could still find them!

Cabelas in Prairie du Chien is where I would buy them when they were on sale. Wolf, Tula, or S&B, never had an issue with any of them.

I love SNB primers in my 65 284 Norma but unfortunately that is coming to an end this is what I have left But I still hate uploading a photo with this new format877C0BB7-F1E3-4AD7-AEBA-AF497B2CA381.jpeg

Obama squeezed them out as well as Wolf. Told them they were not welcome in the U.S.A.. He singlehandedly ruined our chances to get the worlds' best primers for accuracy shooting. Here's a link to more info.
