CCI BR primers

The load my rifle likes will BLANK a CCI #400 primer and CCI #450 primers open the group by 1/2. Is the BR primer on the same power level as the #400, just with a thicker cup??????

I have found the ES is a lot lower when using CCI BR2 primers. But the MV is somewhat lower, than with the standard CCI 200 large rifle primer.

Everyone's experiences are different. I found that the CCI standard primers aren't a lot different than the BR's.

I have found that Tula primers do better for me than both CCI primers.

Latest chrono results showed "single digit" numbers on my load. ES of 8.8, SD of 3.6 and MAD of 2.5 fps using IMR 8208 XBR.

Whenever I compare loads, CCI primed versus Tula primed the relationship is always the same with Tula's yielding the lower numbers. I also get slightly higher average speeds (25-30 fps for the most part and depending on powder) with the Tula.

Unfortunately I have to order them and keep plenty in stock as none of the local dealers stock them. A case costs me around $125 and I just order with powder to spread out the hazmat.
