Roy Hunter stocks

I do appreciate all the kind comments, and I'll offer to DIY guys again, what tools?
I’ll bite…jointer, planer, band saw, table saw, chisels, and hand planes. I’m also curious about the core you use. What’s the benefits to it as opposed to a multiple flat layer layup? Also, what wood do you use for the core?

P.S. I purchased a used LV stock you built off of Dewey. It’s a beautiful piece of craftsmanship. I just got the gun finished and looking forward to testing the stock out.

Challenge excepted, only no electric tools to be used... this is going to be fun..

My last one was a hand saw, chisel, plane, cup awl, rasp, and electric hand drill. It was nice although I felt the drill was cheating. I need to find an actual hand drill so I don’t need an outlet.

Power tools are fine for jobs you just want to get done, but stockmaking is more of a passion for me than a means to an end that must be endured. And who here has heard of a guy accidentally cutting off fingers with a hand saw?
