RL-15, H4895 load help

This is my first post but I’ve been lurking on this site for some time. I can thank all of you for my latest obsession, the 6mm BR. This is one of the best resourses on the net.

I’ve put together a Savage mod. 12 with a Shilen 1:8 twist barrel.

I’ve been experimenting with Varget so far but I’ve not been totally satisfied with the results and I would like to try some RL-15 and H4895.

I was hoping I could get load recommendations for 87 VMAX, 90 Berger BTHP and 105 AMAX.

I was also wondering were I should start with seating depth. Thanks

I use 29.0grs of H4895 with the 87gr v-max in my Savage 6BR.
I also seat 5 thou in. Play with seating depth and see what works best. Be Safe,Have fun.

Try some VV 550.

I am gettng a 150 fps increase over Varget with no additional pressure. Accuracy at 1000 yards is very good.

Currently I am using 30.5 with a SMK 107 grain bullets jammed .020" with a CCI Sm. Rifle Magnum primer in a Lapua case.

I shoot my 8 twist 6br's with RL-15 and the Russian primers, accuracy and SD's and velocity spreads are lower than any I've ever seen with the 105 Berger VLD's in at .023......
