Rings for a '83 Vintage Kimber 82?

I'm hoping someone here can help me. I'm wanting to upgrade the scope on my old Kimber Model 82 Sporter in 22RF and will need rings that are a little higher. It has the grooved receiver. I was all set to order some Burris rings when a note popped up saying they would not fit the Kimber. Could someone please advise of some medium height rings that would fit?

Talley supplied the original's. I believe the only difference from regular Talley's is they had an extra locating grove in the front ring which is easy to machine in to fit Kimber's. There's a lot of Kimber collectors on rimfirecentral.com, it would be worth a post over there if nothing turns up.

Leupold manufactured the original 82 dovetail/grooved receiver rings. I have the 11mm high Leupold 22 rings on my 82A Varmint using a Leupold 6.5-20x40 EFR and it fits well. Brian.

Thank you for the info. How much clearance do you have between the objective and your barrel if I might ask?

I have exra set laying around. 30mm or 1" do you need. Also have drop in trigger that adjusts down to 1 oz pull.
