This is not collector grade. This is an exceptionally nice shooter with extras.
Kimber 82, .22LR Classic, Clackamas Mfg. in 1987 (according to the included box). I purchased this rifle from Champion Shooters Supply, New Albany, OH, around 1991. They said that the P.O. bought it new from them, and sold it back to pay his income tax. It had a few bumps and scrapes, so I had my gunsmith hot blue the barreled action and refinish the stock. He was a very accomplished gunsmith, who took a lot of pride in his work. After over 30 years, this still looks very nice, at least to my eyes.
Two stocks are included with this sale.
The original Classic Stock and the extra 82G Stock have both been glass bedded. The 82G stock has been reworked to fit the sporter barreled action and trigger/magazine group. The "fish belly" has been removed to ride the bag of a front rest. This, of course, makes ammo testing and bench matches much easier. Both of these stocks have their own bottom metal.
When I still had the Ely Black Match and Lapua Midas L that this rifle loved, it would shoot groups .250" to .300". Not bad for a sporter. Like any other .22LR, you have to feed it what it likes. Triger is great, breaks like a piece of glass at around 1lb.
It comes with both stocks and a pair of steel rings. The rings may be Kimber, but not sure, they came with the rifle. The original box is also included.
Price is$1275.00 $1200.00 $1125.00 $1075.00 shipped to your FFL.
