I have a Rem 700 in 300 RUM. I have a Leopold VX5HD 3-15X56 scope and Leopold rings. I took alot of time mounting the scope and torquing it to specs but it still slipped in the rings. Can anyone recommend a nice set of rings and bases the correct height?

Any recommendation on which ones? As in how high?

You could use Burris Signature Rings. Otherwise I would highly recommend lapping rings and bedding a quality one piece base. These 300rums are hell on scopes EVEN with a good brake...I believe brakes might be actually harder on scopes.

Funny you mention that because mine has a break.

I did lap the rings but I did not bed them.

+1 on the Burris Signature or the Tactical version . I have yet to see these slip or leave a mark on a scope tube. Good luck! :D:D
