It's that glued together junk Brett dumped on you, your kid is going to love that thing, might just start sleeping with it.:p:p:p:p:p
You need to cut your grass.
I wish it was my grass. That is at my local range. Someone needs to show it some love. I made it to zero centerfire matches this year and 2 rimfire matches. My house remodel and garage addition has ate all my time. Ugh...

P94S Assortment. The one in the middle is probably the most accurate 22LR I've owned, and was about 6 pounds (without the scope or rings) before I made a heavy butt plate for it. In it's current configuration it's under 8 pounds with a giant scope and steel rings.

Jewell trigger, Benchmark barrel, oversized action screws, Alex Sitman stock...Tom

That's a good looking Sporter you have!

B391F538-9B91-4500-B281-32013549537F.jpeg I thought I would throw this in. It’s not much to look at, nor is it a tack driver, but it is important to me because of its 4.5# weight. I have real bad shoulders and the original weighed about 6 pounds. A little on the heavy side for me to hunt with.
I decided to try an 11.5 oz Clint Beyer barrel with a factory taper. The taper matched perfectly. I bedded and shimmed the action to be able to free float the bbl effectively. I bored out the butstock as every bit helps. It got a trigger job and then a trip to the range.
After one quick mag to test function, I shot three 5 shot groups at 50yds , each with a different type of ordinary CCI hunting ammo. The three groups were .840, .875 and .920. I’m certain it can do better, but for now I’m quite pleased as it is. ~Bob D
