With the variety of rimfire disciplines, from cowboy action to Olympic level three-position, there are a host of different rimfire designs on the market. These may shoot the same ammo, but they certainly vary in looks and ergonomics. This is testimony to human creativity. I'll start this picture thread off with two very different guns.

The first is a FR Gemini 703 from HPS Target Rifles Ltd. in England. As shown below, fitted with Anschutz 54 match action), it is a 50m smallbore "free rifle". However, it is designed so that you can switch in a centerfire action, most commonly 6mmBR) for 300m matches. With an adjustable handgrip, it's wild looking to say the least. HPS calls this an "An unashamed ISSF derived stock for both 50m smallbore and 300m fullbore shooting."

The next gun is likewise accurate, but designed to shoot from the bench. The proud owner is David "Stump" Newsom. Rifle is a LB/RP Turbo built by Bill Calfee. FUDD Tuner is by Scott Hamilton. Stock is McMillan Edge painted '04 Cadillac Escalade Pearl White w/ silver flames. Trigger is 1.4 ounce Jewell. Scope is Leupold 36x mounted in BKL rings atop Davidson bases. Barrel by Douglas. Gun weighs in at < 10.5 lbs. The handsome rest was crafted by Laymon Loggins.,Photo courtesy of our friends the UK Assn. of Rimfire Benchrest Shooting. Check out their site, Benchrest22.org, it has lots of interesting info, plus free targets.)

This is my Gilkes-Ross 22almost ready to go.

Been through a dozen or more rimfire, but this one is my favorite. CZ 455 17hmr Flutted Varmint with Weaver V-24 Varminter Reticle on Warne med rings. Glass and pillar bedded, with Ace 144 spring. Next I will put an adjustable sear in it to take up the little creep that remains.

I put my new Hawkins scope mount on my Vudoo a while back. Hawkins already makes some of the best rings and bottom metal out there. Now he has kicked it up a notch. The top rail is great to hold on to when resting your rifle on barricades or it gives you a place to mount stuff on. The bubble level is in a perfect place and doesn't get in the way.

Newest V-22 - bought a barreled action from VGW with 22" Bartlein Kukri bbl, done in sniper grey CeraKote. Got a Manners PRS-1T with the V-22 inlet, they did a near perfect job of getting the inlet right. Only area needing a little Dremel work was the rear side of the bolt handle slot for complete bolt handle clearance - took about 10 min of several shallow cuts & trying the action back in the stock to get it right. Used PTG Stealth DBM, Trigger Tech Diamond trigger (first for me - really like this trigger!), 30 MOA VGW scope rail, Athlon Cronus BTR in Seekins low rings. Put about 25rds through it, then decided to shoot a 5-shot group on the crosshair target - and pulled the first shot low/right. The remaining four shots went through the same hole though, which made me feel better....SK Rifle Match at 50yds, shooting off the hood of my truck, only because it was too muddy to shoot prone off a bipod.
