Wishing is not a strategy. Magnificent grasp of the obvious by the way.The problem I see is that ultimate accuracy is almost impossible to achieve because aside from ammo brand choices there is a problem of variations between batches, the one component that the shooter cannot control. With center fire ammo a shooter has much more control even when he shoots 100s and 100s of rounds on a regular basis.
I wish there was a way to order additional additional ammo by specific batches once you've found a winner~!
I tend to believe that "one-hole" is "one-hole" whether scored or unscored. Is that wrong~?Recreational Accuracy and Competitive Accuracy are 2 different things.
All Shooters pretty much know this. I will just leave it at that.
Yes, on a score target where that one hole is on the target makes a big difference.I tend to believe that one-hole is one-hole scored or unscored. Is that wrong~?
There is…it’s called lot testing and case buying. The problem I see is that ultimate accuracy is almost impossible to achieve because aside from ammo brand choices there is a problem of variations between batches, the one component that the shooter cannot control. WRONG NOT EVEN CLOSEI tend to believe that one-hole is one-hole scored or unscored. Is that wrong~?
Who offers buying one box for trial and allows lot purchasing if you are happy with results achieved with the first box~????There is…it’s called lot testing and case buying.

You do know he basically is shooting off a one-piece rest! so you're ok with using a one-piece rest? There's a really interesting video which I found supports a previous discussion about "pinching triggers".
We all know 22plinkster is a guy who knows something about shooting. This video is about checking out a recently introduced Springfield .22 but I want you to watch the placement of his right hand when he shoots. His hand is nor around the wrist of the rifle. He instead aligns his grip to a position above the trigger which I have found to create a real advantage in that when the hand is placed around the wrist of the rifle there is an imperceptible pressure exerted which moves the muzzle just a ultra-tiny bit off target~!
I suppose you are correct in that in competition if you are concerned with the "other guy" instead of doing the best you can, you are short changing yourself.MY POINT
Doing something at home by yourself or on the range by yourself is an entirely different deal than doing it in a competition.
Now you're telling one of the most prolific BR good shooters and great guy he is "short changing yourself"? I know of NO shooter in any sport who does not go out and do the best he can. Not one.I suppose you are correct in that in competition if you are concerned with the "other guy" instead of doing the best you can, you are short changing yourself.
Can you verify your claim that even highly competitive shooter are not having thoughts about their competitors~? Can you read into their minds~?Now you're telling one of the most prolific BR good shooters and great guy he is "short changing yourself"? Your question has nothing to do with what I said. Seems to be a pattern here. Can you verify your claim that even highly competitive shooter are not having thoughts about their competitors~? Can you read into their minds~?
I use metric units frequently when the audience may include foreign shooters. It is also easier to use metric units when discussing accuracy measurements as they relate easily to test center results. That's good information, but who in the USA uses metric measurements~? The single metric measurement I know is that 2.54 cm equals 1 inch~! Beyond that I always have to go to a conversion table~! LOL~! I feel bad for the military guys who have to learn what meters mean in terms of yards~!
Case in point....Masters....Winner shoots 73 last round....The way he was hitting it that would have been a 63 in a casual round. That's what competition and nerves are all about.I suppose you are correct in that in competition if you are concerned with the "other guy" instead of doing the best you can, you are short changing yourself.
