MY POINT
Doing something at home by yourself or on the range by yourself is an entirely different deal than doing it in a competition.

Story: When I was in school one of my buddies threw shot-put and discus. During practice his performance was amazing. The coach remarked that in his 15 years of coaching he had never had a boy on his team who could throw with such incredible skill. But when we were involved in team competition results were dismal at best. We could never understand why trowing by himself and during practice he performed like a champion but in competition he was terrible.

Although high school and college I never heard anyone but my team mates when I was on the free throw line or in the batters box. Coaches would say it was pretty loud tonight, I always said -- didn't notice.

I took my CZ457 with LiLja barrel to the Lapua/Berger testing center in Mesa AZ. I live in Phoenix, so it was very close and convenient. I set an appointment which lasted about 90 minutes. We shot several different Lapua brands/lots and Center X came in the best. Then they shot 6 different confirming lots of Center X to find the best groups. I will try to find the charts, but it was a solid .5 MOA at 50 meters and under 1 MOA at 100 meters inside their wind tunnel. Great experience and you get to purchase that exact lot from their warehouse.

A rifle cannot be too accurate. It is however easy to get to a point of diminishing returns chasing rifle accuracy where time and effort in other areas will return better scores.
