Been a while back but I ordered up a "right hand BR" style stock cut for a Savage left hand action. Got the stock with the action cut to a mirror image?? They had to have held it up to a mirror and cut it that way. The only difference between a left and right hand older action cut is the bolt release. Called them on it as I had already waited a couple of months to get it.
Finally ordered up a right hand BR style thumbhole stock, plugged the right bolt handle cut and recut it on the left side. Got a replacement in a week or so. They CAN get one to you sooner if they have to.
Think maybe 10 so far. Some come and some come . How ever you get it, the work you put into it makes it YOURS!! Don't remember ever sending one back.
Post one FOR SALE and it's gone in a couple of days. Most folks ignore any mistakes. They like the idea of NO WAIT time.

Years ago, I ordered a half dozen uninletted Markman-style stocks, in various laminated colors. I have three on my own rifles, the others were for customers. I have experienced some foul-ups in delivery. In one instance I got a laminated stock, but it was the wrong style, wrong color, and made for the wrong action. I had the same thing happen with Boyds. This never happened with Fajen.
All in all, I've been happy enough with the stocks I got from Richards. I accept that i will have to do some work and I'm never disappointed! WH

Apologies, the stock finally did arrive a week ago and just how I envisioned it would. First comment was wow, this is much more massive than I had pictured in my mind.

I actually ordered standard black walnut. I got this stock, which I think is Carlo walnut, probably select grade

I’m ordering a Richards Microfit for a 10/22. Does anyone have pics of exhibition vs exhibition Burl? Preferably in Claro Walnut.

Also curious if anyone has better pics of the classic forearm and width? I like a little wider width 2”.

I lost count of how many I bought over the years. This is a Sav 110 with a custom barrel.

Here is mine. This is a Tikka 6BR in the Wolverine style with the target fore end. Finished with pro custom gun oil. She shoots better than she looks.
