I'd give anything for 2003VV N150 or VV N140 both work.
I‘m not picking on the OP, but this thread is so 2013, which was the last time the supply disappeared and I swore I’d find something else. I did.
This.Ramshot TAC in my experience is far better than Varget
Ive never seen a ramshot powder that wasnt crazy as a loon. I leave it on the shelfIME, TAC doesn't come close to Varget's temperature (in)sensitivity.

How about their pistol powder? Is it satisfactory.Ive never seen a ramshot powder that wasnt crazy as a loon. I leave it on the shelf
Varget is not a good choice for 50-55gr bullets in a 223 its better suited for heavier bullets 75gr and up.
My first choices for 50-55gr bullets in a 223 is H335 and N133.
H335 meters superbly in a powder measure and N133 provides extremely low extreme spread.
I loved IMR3031 with my 53vmax, but I'm out. If I were you I'd try the 4895.Thanks group. I have 4064, 4895 and 4166. I guess I'm not as powder poor as I'd thought. Sure glad I keep 2-3 years supply for times like these.
What about N530?
Ive had some amazing accuracy from it in a few cartridges. PB Clermont has been around a long time and makes excellent ball powdersIve never seen a ramshot powder that wasnt crazy as a loon. I leave it on the shelf
