remington trigger trivia...

this came on a 40x i bought recently.
great trigger i plan to leave it alone.
only problem is it doesnt have the plate on the left side to work the bolt release.
anybody know which trigger it is?
im going to try to add the plate to it or something.

@Dans40X is the expert but it looks like a 40x trigger to me. Run the bolt release with a screwdriver

Looks like the trigger is from early 40X that was in the 722 action style. Have several of these and they are decent triggers.

Yep, a 40-X trigger. The bolt release actuator plates are easy to come by.

I have a trigger like that on a 700 Rem that originally came on a late 1970s 40X BR in 6X47 Rem.

Pictured is an '80's vintage Rem 40X REPEATER trigger group w/ round knob bolt lock safety.
(round/button head side plate rivets)

'70's vintage safety levers were of "Tumb Stone"knob configuration.
(quad staked side plate rivets)

Any 700 Bolt Release lever could be re-installed to make it a complete assembly.
(insure safety detent spring is installed correctly after mutant "E" clip is installed)
