Remington 700 trigger replacement

I have one Rem700 with Jewel.
I have one Rem700 with Trigger Tech.
I have ~12 Rem700s with TImney
I have ~3 Rem700s with original triggers that are rifles waiting for me to rebarrel them.

I like the Timneys just fine, but reading the Trigger Tech patent is impressive.

Looking to replace a Remington 700 trigger on my varmint rifle project looking input choices rifle basix, triggertech ,or bix n Andy Dakota
I’ve played with them all.

Rifle Basix is a waste of money.

Timney is ok, but I won’t spend my money on one. Really no improvement over the old style original Rem 700 triggers (pre X-Mark).

Trigger Tech are good for the money and a major improvement over stock triggers.

Jewell are great, always have been and always will be.

But when wanting to spend a little extra money, the Bixn’ Andy TacSport ‘PRO’ model is my favorite. So clean, crisp, and consistent. Doesn’t get any better.

Thanks to all who gave me an ata boy on being a Jewell trigger vendor.
For the ones who didn't, one day I hope you will see the light and cross over to Jewell. I try to be the best at what I do, and that's selling JEWELL triggers. I have the best delivered price, w/the fastest delivery time on the planet. Not only do I want to be your JEWELL trigger dealer, I want to be your ONLY Jewell dealer. LDS

I love my jewell triggers, but I also have a Shilen BR trigger that is close to a jewell. Not quite, but still very good for the price.

A nod to the Jewell HVR, for the Rem 700. Haven't used many different triggers, but once swapped a Jewell HVR for the factory X-Mark Pro trigger. Vast improvement. Zero creep, very crisp and clean break, consistent pull once pull weight has been set.

I’ll be ordering another Jewell from you soon.

I have switched all of my 700s to triggertech. From the primary to the diamond, there is no creep what so ever
TT's web page for the Diamond says, in red ink, "for cloned actions only," which I take to mean, not actual Rem 700's. Any idea why?

Without going to the Diamond there appears to be no way to get below 16 oz. in pull-weight with a TT. That is a little much for me.

I'm also wondering how you could make a better trigger than the Jewell, though maybe some of finer points are just lost on me.

All my rifles wear Jewell triggers. Zack normally installs them in his custom builds. Their C S is second to none as I did have one that just didn't seem like a Jewell. Returned it to Jewell and in just a few days a new one was in my mailbox.

The TT triggers work on both remmys and aftermarket , 700 style actions. The diamond has no provision for a bolt release, that is why it says for clones( with side bolt release)

The Jewell triggers I’ve bought from you are always great and at an excellent price. I have never had anything bad to say about Jewell. Great all around triggers for any competition or sporting rifles.

But I feel Bixn’ Andy is a notch above Jewell in quality. The TacSport models are maintenance free. TacSport PRO model can go light enough for BR shooting and then heavy enough for a hunting rifle that’s gets heavy abuse in the field and no need to change out pull weight springs. One spring that will take you from a few ounces all the way to 2.5 lbs. Plus there’s something about those ball bearings just feels and operates better. You should pick up the BnA line in your store to expand your portfolio! ;)

TT tech support recommends that the Diamond NOT be installed in Rem factory actions.
The manufacturing tolerances they've seen in factory remington actions can cause the trigger to not work - according to TT tech support.

I had the same question and called them.

They have worked beautifully in the 3 I have. YMMV

Before you decide, take a look at the CG 22 X-Treme.........I like mine.
I use Jewell & a Farley Hare on the ppc's.

It seems rare to find products that are as good or better than our expectations.
Two products that I have been 100% satisfied with are my Jewell triggers and Stihl chainsaws.
(And no - I don't use the Jewells in the Stihls.)

I considered the B&A several yrs ago, and spoke w/the importer to discover I wasnt going to make anymore money to sell a $400 B&A than I was to sell a $200. Jewell. Easy decision.

I even stocked the TT 700s and AR models, and I know they are a good trigger, but they were a NO SALE for me and I dont know why??? I have some TT and Geissele AR models that I have had here for almost 2yrs that wont move, even at a cut price.
I have no idea what's going on in the market, but I haven't shipped a JEWELL trigger in 5 days. This has me worried. LDS
