Remington 700 Bolt - Claw Missing

My Remington 700 bolt has the claw missing. Is there a gunsmith that will replace it?

Do you mean the extractor? The piece that pulls on the rim of the case to extract it?

If so you need to determine which style it is. Is it riveted or a rivetless snap in?

If the claw is the extractor as WSnyder suggests, you can get standard m700 replacements. PTG has them, others too. They’re simply snap in for small and standard size bolt faces. If a magnum bolt face, you need the riveted variety (and a rivet) and likely want a gunsmith to install.

Some people replace the standard m700 extractor with other styles like the M16 or mini M16, which is gunsmith work.

The problem is my brain! Here the pictures that I should have shown. The others are from different Remy bolt. Sorry that I wasted your time!

Looks like a riveted. What cartridge? Magnum? PTG and Midwest both out of stock. Might call and see what the back order time might be. Good luck finding one. The other route is convert to mini M-16 or std M-16.

Looks like a .473 dia bolt face it may not pull a ppc with the factory extractor. Best option is to send it off and have a sako or m-16 installed If it was mine I would bush the firing pin hole at the same time.

STD boltface riveted extractors haven't been available for many many years. Here and there you can find used take offs for sale. Search and you might find some. Otherwise the M-16 conversion is the way.
