Remington 40XB 22lr

Has anyone put a 40XB 22LR Barreled action into the Keystone Revolution S/A benchrest stocks?
I see the 40XB has a bolt on the bottom of the action that holds the loading ramp in place. The Revolution stock does NOT have a cutout or drilled hole to accept the action with this bolt. I can drill the appropriate hole if this is the only issue to get the action to fit.
Also, I have been told you don't need the middle action screw on this 22lr action? And the trigger guard only has one hole in the rear for the rear action screw.
Any thoughts on this issue or experience changing to a Keystone Revolution benchrest stock?
Thanks

I had that set up.
Had to mill out a hole for the screw.
everything else fit great.
I sold the 40X for a Vudoo.
I have that rifle in a revolution stock now

To that exact stock, I have no experience, but I do revolve about 5 of my favorite of these in the matches I shoot, and they are worth every bit of effort you want to invest in them.

The small middle screw is unnecessary and given its size was only securing the front of the ADL trigger guard. The BDL and DBM 700’s are tapped for the screw but never used them.

The real point of my reply is to use that unique bolt head to your advantage. The 40X is a round action and so it wants to rotate when you open and close the bolt.

Because no gun gets cycled more than a .22, and since no other 40-X’s have that bolt protruding, that inconvenient but stout bolt head can be bedded into the hole you make for it.

I approximate the position of the hole by chalking the bolt head and rocking the action slightly in the stock. I drill a small pilot in the center and then use circular motion with a Dremel to open up the hole, which is not a critical diameter because it’s going to be bedded.

Once its seats, put release agent all over action, fill that hole with JB Weld, screw it together and give it 24 hours. That action will now feel unified to the stock when you run the bolt like no factory job can.

The action screws no longer must mitigate side to side rocking, the bottom bolt’s slot is locked into its place, and nothing loosens up like it otherwise would do. But more importantly every bolt cycling has that satisfying feel of working within just one other piece, that is often lacking.
