The problem with any scale at the range is wind. I suggest buy the scale and a motorhome to back it up. MikeI can see this being very handy for load development at the range
Wish I'd see that before I bought the motorhome. $$$$ MikeThis is an early design of mine, built by a friend, years ago. Looking at it I can think of several improvements that I would incorporate today, and I am sure that some of you will come up with better ones. I see no reason why one of these could not be built to accommodate an electronic scale. Of course there is the issue of vibration as well as the wind.

Maybe, but think of what else can be done in a motorhome.Wish I'd see that before I bought the motorhome. $$$$ Mike
Nice however, I made a box also but the problem is getting it calibrated. Need to operate the buttons to do this. Can't with a cover on it. If there's a steady breeze you'll never get it done. That's why I like the Chargemaster. You can put the weight on, then cover it, then push the button. ( buttons are outside the cover). 7" tall, I can get me whole hand in, got a front door on it now, keeps the dust off.Nice however, I made a box also but the problem is getting it calibrated. Need to operate the buttons to do this. Ok got it. I not trying to be picky. We all know how sensitive these are to a breeze. ( i.e. A/C vent ) I'm not sure how the Bald Eagle works but does not the door have to be open to calibrate? How about a cover that leaves the keypad exposed. Then you could put the calibration weigh on, cover it, then press the button. If it's rockin don't come knockin.Maybe, but think of what else can be done in a motorhome. My wife travels everywhere with me.
Can't tell on mine, but I keep a box of dryer sheets on my counter.I noticed that the static charge was influencing the scale by about .1gr.
See what you done now? Here I was thinking I fixed a problem and now I've got to go back to the drawing board and create something else. You are making me put what littleOk got it.
