I’m very pleased so far with my 26” 6.5-06 varmint/Sendero profile 1 in 8 Criterion barrel I bought from NSS. It’s a Remage configuration that along with a new Mack Brothers long action and triggertech 2 stage trigger went into an Oryx chassis. I’ve done very little load development and tweaking and she’s comfortably doing 1/2 moa. I expect tweaking and experimenting with seating depth will tighten things up a bit.

I have done Remage barrels from X-Caliber (6.5-06, 300WM), McGowen (260), and Ragged Hole (wilson blanks) (7TCU). All of them shoot better than I can. The McGowen is a bit more picky than the others, but once I found the right load, it shoots great.

In my personal opinion, with today's manufacturing techniques and precision tooling, the only way you will get a bad barrel is if there are defects in the metal from the forger, or the person chambering the barrel has a bad day.

The last thing I will add is that quality takes time and money. If you want it cheap, then it won't be as good. If you want it fast, it won't be as good. If you want something for just plinking steel at 300 yards and for the occasional hunt that is limited to 400 yards, then any of the ones mentioned will be just fine. If you plan to compete with this or you want to get extreme accuracy, then you need to spend the $$ and go with one of the higher priced options.
