I have a Remington 700 ADL blind mag action and the stock all ready to go but, now I need to decide what to chamber the new barel in. I will be ordering a Criterion Stainless Match Remage bull barrel roughly 28" from NSS more then likely. I already have the 6-6.5x47L Go NoGo Guages, NSS action wrench with taper lug adapter for Rems and a Wheeler Barrel Vise so, Im ready to rock. This will be for paper punching.
The action originally had a .243 barrel (never shot pencil barrel) and although .243 is a great round I want to go something else as I would like better barrel life.
I have already tried a 6.5x47L to make sure it feeds good from the blind mag follower and it works flawlessly.
Thinking also 6x47L but, dont really want to worry about donuts if they arose.
Kinda on the fence as I already have a good shooting 6.5CM so, very similair to the 6.5x47.
Its just something I will have to decide but, thoughts are appreciated.
