6.5x47 powder recommendation for long barrel

@Gb300wm and @stacy hit the nail right on the head! 130 and under class bullets can put Varget and RL-15 to great use. With 140 class bullets, H4350 will really turn the cartridge on. Varget can and will work fairly well with 140 class bullets, however, "generally" I believe that H4350 is a better choice.

I shoot a 6.5x47 with 130 Berger OTMs. I have only used Varget. Im getting @ 2840 with 38 grains. I have a 6.5 Sherman also. I have used RL26 in it with great results. Varget seems to be an awesome powder with 130 and 140s I think it would work with 147 in a 6.5x47.

Newb here and my first 6.5x47L. 28” Bartlein 7.5 twist. 36.2 gr of H4895 , Rem 7.5 at 2840fps with Berger 140 hybrid. Going to try the 153.5 next.

Test loads are made up for Thursday 300yd practice of the weather holds up. I used the H4350 and three 140gr bullets I have on hand. The 139gr Scenar, 140gr Hornady HPBT, 140gr Nosler custom comp.
