The answer to my question may take more money than the barrel is worth, and if so, I will forego the project.
I have a 28” bull, 6mm 1:8 twist CBI barrel that has a rough chamber and tenon face. Does anyone know of a smith that would set it back, chamber it in 6BR, and thread it to go on a Remington 700?
It shoots very well, but the brass is sticky to extract due to the marks in the case portion of the chamber and the brass has the indentions on the case of course. Not sure the cause and all is well on mine and the seller’s end.
Donate it?
Pay to have it fixed?
Sell it as a solar eclipse viewer?
Forge knives out of it?
Thanks.
