Rem 700 vs. Rem 700

I've been planning on a Bix and Andy sport tactical for my up coming Bighorn Origin action. I plan to install it myself. Please don't tell me it has to be timed. If so how do I connect my timing light?

Lol. Every new trigger needs to be timed unless you have an excessive amount of luck ;)

A lot of people don't even know the difference. And thats fine. Sometimes ignorance is bliss! As long as the trigger is nice and youre happy, thats all that really matters.

After I timed my first trigger, it made everything else feel like junk if it's out. It's like when a person starts using the best optics. Hard to go back to the cheaper stuff.

To the OP are you comparing your old actions cycling that have been worked a couple hundred thousand times to new ones worked only a hundred times? Something to think about.

"have been worked a couple hundred thousand times"

LOL.....how many rounds do you think I shoot a year? One of the actions (Old 7mm Rem Mag) still has it's original tube...less than 1000 rounds I'm sure.
My "hunting " 300 wby has about 2500 between the two BBLS it's had on it , and my "mini Lapua" had 1200 Swift rounds and 1900 6-47L rounds.

"Couple hundred thousand.....lol

One more thing. Removing material from the back of bolt lugs and the abutments that they bear against will affect timing. My point is that you need to do these things in the proper order.

You never know. We got 2 guys that shoot magnums at 600 yard matches. One a bone stock Browning A-Bolt in 300 wsm and the other a 300 win mag with varmint barrel.
