Rem 700 6BR

The stock finally showed up. I thought I had ordered an ebony tip, but apparently not.
I only had to clearance a little for the recoil lug. The barrel profile fits very well. I will definitely bed the action on this guy.

Boyd’s? You need to inspect when you receive and compare to what you ordered. I’ve had to send a few back including a personal one because they neglected to checker it.
 
I am becoming very frustrated with Boyd's. Their website states 7-10 business day lead time. My order was placed January 30th. February 17th they told me it would ship this week. Now today, they're telling me it will ship next week.

I really want to raise a stink about it, but I don't want to have any issues! I also can not get anyone to answer the damn phone over there. I have ordered a handful of stocks from them in the past, but never a solid walnut. I wish they would just tell me what the holdup is.

I know it is with mine
When I say a week or even a month wait
that is often a "figure of speech"
Anticipating when I can get to it or get it done
BASED UPON, all previous jobs that are still in the works going perfectly
which rarely happens, so pushes all future jobs back further for every hiccup

I have learned to simply give certain orders time, like 2 months usually
I feel being understandin g of any problems other businesses have, helps establish a good rapport for any future relationship dealings
I mean hey, if theyre that busy, they really dont need our business as much as we need their product
I remember I ordered some surplus powder and waited 2 months before calling to check status
certain things we do not understand when large orders have already been placed before our own
such as: they are only allowed to ship a certain limited amount of UPS orders per day
UPS cannot realistically simply work for one person

I usually tend to agree with this philosophy. However there have been instances in the past where I waited an extended period of time and when I finally called to check on it, there had been some oversight and the vendor was not even aware of the order.
I do my best to be patient, but want to make sure I have not been overlooked.
