My only problem is I only shoot Varget in my F-Class rifle. To buy only two pounds, means I will have to do load development over and over again just a waist of powder, bullets and primers. I need to get at least 4lb or better 8lbs of the same lot number to make it worth the effort.

Looks like it will be a bit of a wait. But looks like things are starting to look up, so it may not be too bad.

Lot numbers don't mean a whole lot if you put it all in a 5-gallon pail and mix it all up to make your own lot #.

What rjtfroggy said. I've collected 51lbs of 2520 over 5 different purchases and did the 5 galleon thing.

Amusingly, after dumping in all but 16 lbs I had the idea to check the lot number on the bottles/jugs. It was the same.

The scavenging [or hoarding as some would like to say] included four eight lb jugs at $26-27 a pound; the 1 lb'ers were ~ $35/36. With all the shipping and hazmat - well, I'm not thinking about it any more.

Varget if you can get it but H4895 is a great option too. Probably depends more on what your rifle thinks though. Get some of both and see what you think.
