Sounds like RL23 vs RL22. I have not tested it but 23 might be bulkier than 26.
I have. It is. RL26 is a VERY dense powder. It will fit in smaller cases than anything else in the same burn rate range.

I use RL23 exclusively in 7wsm.
I'm shooting it as we speak. 150 Berger at 3250 in a 25".We tested it. It's essentially 4831 speed and super wide nodes.
That's exactly my findings too. Good stuff! We tested it. It's essentially 4831 speed and super wide nodes.

I use a bunch of RL-23. My go-to for the .260 AI and the 140 class bullets. Also does an outstanding job in the .22-.250 AI, .243, .25-'06 and .243 AI. Not as much speed as RL-26 but it is not sensitive at all to ambient temperature and the precision has been hard to beat in my experience.R23 is the third TZ powder same as AR comp and R16. No one uses it. Its amazing.
I've been able to get significantly higher velocity with RL-23 than with H-4831SC. I can push a 140 grain out of my .260 AI at 3,050 fps without any fuss and bother. Doing the same with H-4831SC would sack my brass on the spot and give me a work out opening the bolt.We tested it. It's essentially 4831 speed and super wide nodes.
You got me thinking, got home and looked at my round count. It kind of surprised me. It's a Bartlein...dont know if that has to do with it or HBN or if RL23 has a lower heat of explosion or all of the above.Well dont shoot that rifle too much! Your barrel is gonna burn out after about 200 rounds with a 150gr at that speed![]()

Sorry for de-railing your thread bud.Has anyone compared thee two powders ?
