Recommendation on new deer rifle

Limbsaver is a good one. The backstop pad looks nice but don't have any experience with it.

Or put it in a krg echo. It has a much better pad and better ergonomics at the cost of a little weight, but that weight might be a good thing with 3006.

Putting it in Gallery of Guns and looking at 100 mile radius from Portage, randomly chosen prior to reading location actually, it gives a few places all showing the same $1129 or $1140 price. So Tikka apparently sets a floor price, $1129 in this case. I have a friend who's also an FFL. I get almost everything through him. Even on things like this he has a better price. You might do better than, was it Fleet Farm?, if you know an FFL to order through. And they don't show the .30-06 as an option for the T3X-Lite when I look it up from Texas so I used .308. Good luck with your purchase.

I ended up buying the T3x Lite 30-06 at fleet farm in wi not far from where i live for $650, was a close out, last one they had, after looking around this was really good price with the addition of being able to pick up myself.
