deer hunting

ok i know this is off subject in here, but it is deer season in the u.s. i am in southwest virginia, rifle season is here but where are the deer.
my game camras have not taken any pics in a week and i have not seen a deer in 3 days, even in my "honey" holes. any one else having these problems. i went from getting over 100 pic in 3 days to 2 pics in a week. how about everyone else around me. i know there are hunters out there.

This happens every year during the rut.. The bucks have the majority of the does holed up in thick cover... and it seems like they all disappeared....
Then people start to show up in there areas and that makes them even more
apt to hole up.... it will get better.........

come to Arkansas, seven people hunting opening morning last Sat., one six,two eights, four does all before 9am. Our lic. this year calls for one buck(5 point or better), and three does. We have had several people killed on motorcycles hitting deer this year in the central part of the state.JF

even the weather has put the deer in a calm mood.the fisrt of the season here was great.does walking every where.but they all were still milking and didn't want to take momma away from a little one.a week ago had a 4 point and a cow horn to walk out 50yrds in frount of me after rattleing them in.but I couldn't move.now the rain want stop,even hot/cold.just not moveing like one would want them to.need some snow so that one can track them.even the last two times out the owner of the land that I am hunt'n has drove up and messed my hunt up.told him that his nice new Honda 4 wheeler would look really good hanging up on the wall.

well for whatever reason the deer are not around this week. it's been almost a week and nothing, a very few does. everyone i talked to say they aren't seeing deer. maybe it will get better.
question for those who have bear... does black bear run off deer.? last year i had 2 bears on my property, this year 9 bears. it seems that the deer have not been there like before, i mean i still have deer but when i start seeing bear on camras it seems like a week before the deer come back. is this normal when bear start showing up? never had bear like this before, they have opened season on them now, but havent seen bear during day light hours, so havent been able to take one yet.would like too have the chance, but would rather have the deer.

In Michigan the bear are hard on the fawn crop. Throw in wolves in the U.P and lots of snow might as well stay by the fire in the cabin.
