recoil lug or not?

Goin to be ordering a Borden BRM for a 30br maybe 30 major HV build maybe heavier as we have no weight limits here. I will be doing a full pillar bed job and more than likely glued. My question is to go with recoil lug or not?

This will be a SR for score benchrest rifle.

Thanks

Do NOT go with a recoil lug. With a cartridge like the 30 BR, it is not needed with a pillar bedded and glued in action.

Also, with no recoil lug, you eliminate a full contact point, which in turn should gain you a little better accuracy

I'd glue and screw with pillars but no lug, with that action. You'll never have a problem like that and a lug can't help anything, sandwiched between the barrel and action. Move it to near the middle of the action....maybe a different story but that's for another thread.
