new stock, bed or not??

i just picked up a new bell and carlson pillar bedded stock to replace my old wood stock, on my pre-accutrigger savage 110. i had to en-large the barrel channel, but that was no problem. as i was at it, i switched out the old recoil lug for a .250" parrellel recoil lug.

my question is, it is already pillar bedded. i have a glass bedding kit for two rifles. would it be worth it to bed this rifle, or save it for another rifle? thanks guys, brian.

pics soon, i promise.

Bed it. The action inletting on those stocks isn't the greatest and pillars just stop the action screws from compressing the stock.

I agree....bed it and be done with it. I had a rifle in a B&C stock and the POI shifted after about 100 rounds. The contact areas wore slightly and caused the shift.

I prefer Devcon but have used Acraglass, Acraglass Gel, Miles Gilbert Bedrock and others in the past with successs.

If you need any help, let me know. I've bedded all my Savage rigs.

Brian,
You should shoot it for groups to see how it shoot first, then bed it and shoot it again. I guarantee your groups will shrink.

well, i tryed to fallow the instructions as close as i could, so we'll have to weight and see how it turns out. i was going to try and shoot it for a before and after, but i just got to impatient. ill post my findings as soon as i get them.
