Recognition of National Records - HP & F-Class

Warren, now "effendude" is a match director who has admitted on this forum that he doesn't mind not following the highpower rules in his matches if he doesn't personally agree with a particular rule. I am surprised that the NRA would allow any national records from any match he runs.

Many of us on this forum have shot at matches where Effendude was the match director. That means he gave up the ability to compete during state/regional matches where most of the best competitors in the region were shooting. There would have been hell to pay if there was inappropriate behavior or hp rules weren't being followed. Know your facts before making asinine comments.

Skippy,
We went down this road a while back. If you want to accuse me of not following NRA rules, and by inference, any score shot under my match direction should be nullified, say it publicly and back it up with proof. Otherwise STFU you POS. You are disrespecting several world class competitors with your cheap shots.

The issue you refer to arose over a poorly written rule regarding the width of a bipod. My comment was that as a match director, the ultimate decision on any rule landed on my shoulders. If I interpreted a rule to be poorly written, or confusing AND my appointed jury agreed, we would decide how to best handle the situation. Most who commented on the issue agreed that there was some room for interpretation of the bipod board rule. Your comment, if I recall correctly, was to call out any competitor who was beating you by using a board too wide for the bipod. Run some big matches and see how easy it is.

Scott

Effendude, exactly, what I said. The rule wasn't vague at all. It stipulated that a board could not be greater than 24" and could not be greater than 2" wider than the bipod. Granted, with the advent of bipods that have adjustable widths secondary to height adjustments, the rule needs to be changed.

However, it is not the match director, nor his jury, that can override or supercede the written rule because it is not reflective of the time. And then you ask for national records to be awarded in such a match. Interesting.

Oh by the way effendude. I don't appreciate you digging into Warren Dean like you did. You aren't near the shooter, nor anywhere near the person that Warren Dean is. I am beginning to believe you are the problem here. You have a way of offending everyone in this sport as if you are some big dude. You aren't shit in my books.

I am sure you have plenty of supporters on this forum. Supporters always flock behind a guy that will look the other way.

Why would tying a national record be recognized by NRA? What would be the point? :o

Apparently you have not looked at any national records to see how many of them currently have co-holders.

Scott

You are quite correct. I haven't looked at the records page for quite a while.

Team Savage must be so proud to have you representing them in the industry.

Read the NRA rules and look at the records. There are many ties and they all deserve to be recognized. Why would you disrespect a shooter's accomplishments just because they were not the first to shoot a particular score? These particular records are important ones:

Sub Junior and Junior F-TR at 600 yards: 197-9X
Civilian F-Open at 1000 yards: 200-15X (TIE)
Civilian F-Open at 600 yards: 200-19X (TIE)
Civilian Woman F-Open at 600 yards: 200-16X (TIE)

There is no need to whine about me asking a simple question, cupcake. 😊

I wasn't disrespecting anyone with that question.

Get over yourself.

My wife sent Sheri an email regarding the records. Sheri replied and stated they are being reviewed right now. A volunteer has helped with the process and that has moved things along.

I will keep everyone posted.
