I do still have it - and after posting this, I think I'm going to keep the barrel after all. The 260 AI looks really interesting!

I own two .260s a Remington 700 and a Ruger 77 both short actions. I also picked up a Howa 1500 in trade chambered in 6.5 Creed. I bet I have put 10-12 barrels on this year in 6.5 Creed most of them being 26" in length. I'm getting 2850fps out of my .260s and the Creeds are lucky to hit 2800fps with 140gr bullets. There is no discernable difference in accuracy between the two and definitely no advantage in the Creedmoor unless you plan on shooting factory ammo. The .260AI is definitely the cats meow, 2950-3000fps with 140s and done so very efficiently in a short action cartridge.
The only thing that makes less sense than having a creedmoor and a 260 is having two creedmoors. Just sayin. Rebarrel it in something different.
Ah, but those are proper, civilized cartridges.I definitely don't agree with that! Don't even ask me how many .308s or .223 rifles I have (but it's more than one of each).
yes. complete blasphemy -not kidding!!260 Rem to Creedmoor?
Isn't that sacrilege?
Just kidding. But why?
