6.5 creedmoor to 260 Rem

I'd like to run all three at the LR range club [1000yds] I shoot at..6CM the 260 & the260 rem AI...I own a 260 Rem AI...Nice enough CBI barrel on a Savage...it is Tough on brass, life 8 loadings [Lapua} after fire forming & 30% of the brass has mushy primer pockets...The freebore has advanced due to throat erosion..Right at 1000 shots & I'm talking to my gunsmith..For the type of Target shooting we do...He says I made a great move switching from a 243Win to the 260 Rem...Trouble started switching it up to the AI version...Take that for what it is worth..Performance costs.. The standard version may be better for just plinking the steel targets...Mike in Ct

That's what I'm up to later today. Got a 6.5-06imp that is a barrel burning monster and is a great comp. gun for 1000yd BR. But VERY expensive to feed with 55g of powder and 800-1000rd barrels. I am chambering up a 6.5CM barrel to spin on the 2port Borden to play with in between. Still using Lapua brass, no FFing. All the load development you could ever ask for has been done and i have a whole bunch of Bob C.'s 141's to feed it.
Can i PLEASE still hang with the "cool guys".......I DO have a BRA...;)

Regards
Rick

I didn't catch the action / mag box you're using. If you're running a 700 in a standard box you're going to have an easier time chasing the lands with the CM. I have both 260 and CM, so no dog in the fight.
