Reamer Storage

As usual, I’m overthinking. How are you guys storing your reamers? I only have about a dozen now and I’ve been keeping mine in one of my machinist boxes. I’d like to have a dedicated box/cabinet to store the reamers in. I’ve come up with a few solutions, but I’m not a huge fan of any of them. Below are the pictures of what I’ve narrowed my search down to.

I’d like to have an individual drawer for each cartridge so I can move the drawers around when I get a new reamer and still keep everything in order of smallest to largest. But the cabinets I’m finding either have larger than necessary bins or they’re expensive.

The drill bit organizer works, but relabeling everything to keep it in order when getting a new reamer wouldn’t be cool.

I also like the plastic boxes with 6 compartments, but have heard complaints about the cabinet being very flimsy.

I use the plastic trays you have shown at the bottom, I remove the dividers and I can store quite a few reamers in one tray, I have over 100 chamber reamers so I have several of the trays, I have separate trays for Indicator and range rods and various other rifle-smithing tools.

I store the trays in roll away cabinets.

I keep all my gunsmith tools in a Husky tool box. It has two pull out drawers that are the perfect depth for reamers and cutters. I bet I have 30 plus reamers in each drawer. I wrap the factory tubes with blue painters tape and mark the caliber on that and store smallest to largest. I store the headspace gauges in a small pull out parts tray from Tractor supply mounted on the wall next to the tool box. Nice and tidy and works well.

I have a Husky roll around that serves as more bench top that has drawers one side is large and other side is mill.

Since you posted a plastic box…fishing boxes would be an option, like a Plano box.

Two dedicated drawers in a Kennedy, in their factory tubes; I add P-Touch labels to the tubes and just sort by caliber.
About the same here. Other drawers in the same Kennedy will have
all the other related items such as throat and chucking reamers,
specific drills, and even a drawer for chamber castings done for said
reamers. I always do a casting for any reamer I get my hands on.

Plastic tray like you showed on the bottom
I like the individual slots and the ones I use are long enough for reamers including chucking reamers
If a reamer is going to be stored for more than a few months I spray it down with this stuff to protect it from any long term corrosion.
It's thick and almost Gel Like
I read somewhere some machinists used it for machines they had no choice but to leave outside to protect things like the bedways, so I figured why not.

I’d like to see those cabinets and trays. I like that idea

I've picked up different cabinets years ago. Library card file which holds a lot of different things besides reamers. Bank check file, dedicated drawers for different customers along with tooling for the Haas, Cash register stands from a Belk's store that was moving. Bushing, by caliber, in plastic small parts containers
